Quit smoking Plan
How to quit smoking
As the calendar starts to turn over, your life is likely to have many ups and downs – whatever you do, don’t celebrate or commiserate with a cigarette.
Understanding the facts
While you can’t necessarily reverse the stain damage that smoking has done to your teeth, smokers are up to six times more likely to develop gum disease than non-smokers and gum health significantly improves after quitting.
You should no longer be feeling the direct symptoms of nicotine withdrawal and be feeling more comfortable with your new lifestyle, however, be careful to monitor any weight gained whilst quitting so one unhealthy vice isn’t replaced by another.
