Practice deep breathing techniques

The great thing about breathing exercises is that you can practise them wherever you are, for as long a time as you have available. The simplest way to start is three or four seconds of in through the nose, out through the mouth; you can then progress to more complicated patterns involved in pranayama, the breathing discipline associated with yoga.
