When you think the craving has passed, note down how long it lasted for. If you continue to do this throughout the day, you should notice a consistent reduction. If you feel an urge to smoke, don’t be hard on yourself: that urge is due partly to ingrained habits and habits can be changed. Remember cravings to smoke are not demands – you don’t have to follow them.
